About the event
Roger Logue describes the development of churchyards from the pre-Christian era to the present day. In doing so, he touches on the prehistoric, Roman, Celtic, and Viking influences on the churchyard as we know it. Symbols, their importance and how they may be interpreted, are described.
Roger’s illustrated examples are to be found as far north as Hadrian's Wall, as far south as Derbyshire, to the east coast of Yorkshire and to the west as far as Liverpool.
£5 entrance.
