Marsden Moor Estate regularly has guided walks.

Booking is normally advised as numbers may be limited. Usually this should be done by e mail by midday on the Friday before the walk but please check the details for each walk.
On all walks please wear weather appropriate clothing and suitable footwear for moorland walking.

Saturday 28 May 2022 - 10:00am - 3:00pm, Heritage Trail South - a guided walk around Marsden Moor. Learn more about the interesting heritage of Marsden Moor from our walk leaders. 7.5 miles. Booking advised.
Saturday 4 June 2022 - 9:30am - 6:00pm, Black Hill and Shiny Brook. A challenging walk taking in both the ‘new’ and ‘old’ routes of the Pennine Way. 15 miles. Booking advised. Not suitable for children.
Saturday 18 June 2022 - 3:00am - 8:00am, Early morning (3am) to catch the sunrise, followed by breakfast at a local café. There is a charge of £7.50 for breakfast, payable at the start of the walk. 8 miles. Booking advised.
Saturday 25 June 2022 - 10:00am - 4:00pm, Heritage Trail North. A bracing walk with magnificent open moorland views and a taste of history. 10 miles. Booking advised.
Wednesday 6 July 2022 - 6:30pm - 10:30pm, Sheep shearing. A walk to one of the oldest farms on the moors to see the sheep getting sheared. 2.5 miles. Booking advised. No dogs. Suitable for children.
Sunday 17 July 2022 - 1:30pm - 4:00pm, Esther and the Miller - Enjoy a slice of local history with this short afternoon walk. 3 miles. Booking advised.

Sunday 24 July 2022 - 10:00am - 2:00pm, Brun Clough to Dowry Castle and Castleshaw - A bracing walk with magnificent open moorland views. 7 Miles. Booking advised. *Meet at Brun Clough Car Park.
Thursday 11 August 2022 - 1:00pm - 5:00pm, a family friendly walk as we tick off one of the best things to do before you’re 11 and 3/4… walk up a big hill.(*children should be used to walking 5 miles - not fit for pushchairs) Meet at Hey Green. 5 Miles. Booking advised.
