Marsden Moor Estate regularly has guided walks.

On all walks please wear weather appropriate clothing and suitable footwear for moorland walking. Some walks are not suitable for children or dogs - please check their website for details of each walk.

Dates and venues

  • Saturday 7 March 2026 - 10:30am - 1:30pm, Doggy walk - Join the rangers for a sociable dog walk - find out how you and your dog can help us look after this special place. Some steep and uneven sections - 5 miles. Just 1 dog per person please.
  • Sunday 8 March 2026 - 10:30am - 3:30pm, Colne Valley Circuit - See the Colne Valley from both sides as we meander from Marsden to Slaithwaite and back. 8 miles. Designed for children who are comfortable with the distance.
  • Sunday 15 March 2026 - 10:30am - 1:30pm, March Haig Walk - Enjoy the first signs of spring and views from the top end of the valley whilst visiting one of the reservoirs built to feed the canal. This walk is 5 miles - designed for children who are comfortable with the distance.
