Dates and venues

  • Sunday 24 March 2024 - 10:30am - 4:30pm, From the Romans to World War Two. Join us for a fascinating longer walk across the moor to uncover 2,000 years of history. Distance 10 miles.
  • Sunday 14 April 2024 - 9:30am - 3:30pm, Ten Reservoir Challenge - a route that takes in the ten reservoirs that surround the village of Marsden. This is a challenging walk with steep uphill sections on rough paths. Distance: 16.5 miles.
  • Sunday 28 April 2024 - 9:30am - 3:30pm, Crossing the Pennines. - Walk with us from Marsden to Diggle and back, using historic tracks, crossing the Pennines. This is a challenging walk with some steep uneven terrain. Distance: 11 miles.
  • Sunday 5 May 2024 - 10:30am - 1:00pm, Moorland birds trail - Bring your binoculars along for a chance to see the special birds who call the moorland home. 3 miles. See website under Further Information for meeting place.
  • Saturday 11 May 2024 - 10:30am - 1:30pm, Doggy Rangers - Bring your dog along for a walk with the rangers to learn how they can help us look after the wildlife on Marsden Moor. (One dog per person). Distance 5 miles Will involve some steep and uneven terrain.
  • Saturday 18 May 2024 - 9:30am - 2:30pm, "Rock Sandwiches": a Bite Through Marsden's Geology - Join our geology expert to learn about the geology of the Marsden area. Interesting jaunt around Pule Hill. Distance: 7 miles.
