Men’s Talk Digital
Men’s Talk is Community Links innovative performance project for men who are managing long-term mental health issues.
Men’s Talk works with men to develop new skills, build confidence and create platforms for their voices. Central to Men’s Talk is encouraging other men who are experiencing mental health issues to seek the support that they need.
With the Covid pandemic making live performance impossible, Men’s Talk will take a different direction during 2021, focussing on equipping the men with the necessary skills to create short films and other media to use as campaign materials; to increase the understanding of men’s mental health issues, reduce stigma and encourage men to talk.
With support from Kirklees Community Plus, CLEAR will be launching Men’s Talk Digital in December 2020
Men’s Talk Digital is open to any man who is accessing the CLEAR service.
What will you be doing?
Following an introduction to the project, men will work alongside a professional film maker to develop skills in
• Video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro)
• Filming (GoPro Cameras)
• Design/Animation (Adobe Photoshop)
• Sound (Edirol)
• Lighting (Briteq)
As well as weekly meetings and location shoots, participants will have access to high spec laptops in both the Dewsbury and Huddersfield offices, to download and edit their films.
