As the University emerges from the Covid-19 pandemic it has restarted live performances with an inspiring and international series of concerts and events.

The events listed are open to the public and normally free to attend. Please click on the link under Further Information for more details.

  • Thursday 26 January 2023 - 1:15pm, In the Phipps Hall. Student Showcase:solo performances - An exciting showcase of talent from some of the University’s best undergraduate and postgraduate performers as they prepare for mid-year assessments. Free entry.
  • Thursday 9 February 2023 - 1:15pm, Alex Raineri - Piano Recital. Alex is active both Internationally and throughout Australia as a recitalist, concerto soloist, chamber musician, writer, producer and educator. Free entry.
  • Thursday 23 February 2023 - 1:15pm, Tim Parker-Langston and Jonathan Fisher - vocal recital based on the life of Fanny Hensel, elder sister of Mendelssohn. Tim, with pianist Jonathan Fisher sings some of her songs and those of musicians who influenced her. Free entry.
  • Thursday 2 March 2023 - 1:15pm, In the Phipps Hall. Trumpet and Piano, Jazz Crossover - Pianist Gwilym Simcock and trumpeter Nick Smart have both forged international reputations in the jazz scene and beyond. Free entry.

  • Thursday 9 March 2023 - 1:15pm, David Pipe and Huw Morgan - Double Organ Recital
  • Thursday 16 March 2023 - 9:00am - 8:00pm, Strings Day featuring Four's Company and the Meiningen Ensemble (St Paul's, lunchtime and evening concerts)
