Adult Learning Preparing to Volunteer in Schools -
Building skills and knowledge towards volunteering in schools focusing on classroom support, SEN, safeguarding, behaviour support, a toolkit of ideas – engaging in conversation, developing speaking and listening skills, helping them to stay on task, breaking down tasks into ‘small steps’ to build confidence in their abilities, Building relationships with ‘harder to reach’ children – rewards/incentives, with an opportunity to specialise on a particular curriculum focus

This course is open to:
Kirklees residents
Aged 19+
Who have lived in the UK for 3+ years (or a spouse of a UK resident who has lived here for more than 3 years)
Asylum seekers who have been in the UK for 6 months and are awaiting a decision on status.
