Super 'Seconds' - sale by local artists and makers in Slaithwaite

About the event

Come along between 11am-2pm (well behaved dogs are allowed too!) and buy from local artists and makers.

On the second Sunday of every 3rd month, our doors will be open to the public in which you can come and purchase creatives’ “seconds” and artist materials. Held in our Create Space on New Street side of our building, double grey doors next to Destination.

A ‘creative second’ might look like an accidental fingerprint on a print, an upturned corner on a photograph, a re-fused glass keyring, or a ceramic bowl with the wrong coloured glaze on it. Basically any slight imperfection on a handmade which usually means it can’t be sold as easily, by the artist)

The event will help to save these pieces from being forgotten about in a cupboard or studio, getting them out into the world - living out the rest of their days in your homes!
