Slaithwaite Moonraking Festival of Light 2023 (11th -18th February)

About the event

Our successful fundraising campaign will bring back the Moonraking in February 2023 with the Festival Finale that includes raking a giant lantern moon from the canal and a spectacular lantern parade around the village streets happening on Saturday 18th February.

Taking the theme of Water we are working with local artists to create set-piece illuminations and lanterns and will be running public workshops from February 11th so you can make your watery themed lantern to carry on the procession.
