About the venue

  1. Marsden Library and Information Centre

    Please note:

    **Marsden Library is closed temporarily from the 12th of February 2018 whilst building works take place. It is planned that the library will reopen on the 9th of April.**

    Opening times:

    Mondays: closed;

    Tuesdays: 10am - 1pm

    Wednesdays: 1pm - 6pm

    Thursdays: 10am - 1pm

    Fridays: 1pm - 5pm

    Saturdays: 10am - 3pm

    Sundays: closed.

    Every library in Kirklees has a range of books available for members to borrow free of charge. It’s free to join; call in to your library with some ID.

    You can also borrow talking books, large print books, and at some libraries DVDs. We also offer e-books and e-audio. Search the library catalogue to see what’s available.

    Every library has public access computers that library members can use free of charge. You can also print for a small charge. We offer free basic IT help to anyone who would like to feel more confident using computers.

    Library staff will help you access information, council services, learning and volunteering opportunities. Some locations also have visitor information.

    Libraries host a range of events including children’s storytimes, coffee mornings, knit and natter, and reading groups.
