History

  1. The club was formed in 1961 and aquired the use of Birkby Brow Woods in 1963
Our track record of providing International Uk team members in both male and female team events is masked by our friendly outgoing approach when introducing new people to the sport
This provides a pleasant and ever changing natural setting as the seasons change. We have no facilities being in a wild wood but the 50 Clay Shoot is usually no more then 90 minutes so is akin to a medium walk in a wonderful setting.
The members welcome guests and mentor new starters as well as small groups eg cub/scouts - guides to encourage an outdoor activities. When our fund raising allows we subsidise this or just pass on the cost of clays when funds do not allow
