  1. The Continence, Colorectal & Stoma Service is made up of a team of specialist nurses, specialist women’s health physiotherapist, and health care assistants with expert skills in both the assessment and the treatment of bladder, bowel, colorectal, stoma and pelvic floor problems, ( we do not see patients who solely have a pelvic floor dysfunction or prolapse.) there must also be a related bladder and or bowel problem.

Thousands of people of all ages can experience issues with their bladder and bowels and can find their symptoms embarrassing and difficult to talk about. However, most continence problems can be improved or even cured through the treatments and management options we offer.

Our Stoma Service provides support and advice to adults with a new or existing stoma at home or via telephone.
Please note our Stoma service is only for patients registered to GPs in Greater Huddersfield.

You can self-refer to our bladder, bowel, and stoma service by using our online referral forms or by calling our Single Point of Contact on 0300 304 5555.

The assessments are carried out face to face in the clinic or home setting. depending on need, the clinician will formulate a plan of care/advice which is sustainable.
