Kirklees Countryside Volunteers

  1. Award winning Kirklees Volunteer Organisation of the Year 2008.

We provide and lead a programme of guided walks. We also run one-day courses in basic map-reading and using a compass.

Our activities also include practical conservation work such as improving rights of way, hedge-laying and drystone walling.

Come on our walks and other events and see for yourself. Details are usually listed under 'Events organised by this group' on this web page.

To contact us by telephone you may need to ring in the evening.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, we usually meet on the first Thursday of each month at the John Smith's Stadium, Leeds Road at 7.30pm.
