  1. *Please note that our offices at 12 New Street, Huddersfield, and Jo Cox |House, Batley have closed. We currently only have an office at 4-6 Woolshops, Halifax HX 1 1RJ.

    We offer a range of free charitable services including:

    Advice and information for older people and for carers please call 01422 252 040.

    We also offer free legal clinic and financial advice sessions - please call to book.

    Befriending service for older people who are lonely or isolated.

    Transport and support at home upon discharge from hospital.

    We also offer a range of chargeable services including:

    Day opportunities for older people, including transport, refreshments, activities, lunch, trips out and more - at Bradley and Batley. You may be referred by the Council and receive a contribution towards costs or you may attend privately.

    Domestic services - Home Helpers take care of cleaning, shopping and household tasks. We can also offer escorted shopping trips, trips to appointments and a sitting service and larger scale cleaning and de-cluttering.

    The Handyperson service provides small repairs, gardening, grab rails and keysafes.

    Shopmobility service in our Halifax shop provides scooter rental to do your shopping in the town centre or longer term scooter / wheelchair / tri-walker rental for holidays or recuperation.
    We also sell a range of mobility and living aids.

    We are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm to provide information and advice for older people.

  1. Age UK resulted from the merger of Age Concern and Help the Aged.

    Calderdale and Kirklees joined forces in 2008 and remain a local charity providing support across both regions to help older people make the most of life.
