  1. We have a full programme of outings and matches. Fishing on two miles of canal by Battyeford and Mirfield; also at Coombs Dam, Thornhill and a stretch of the river Calder from Battyeford. You must be a member of Old Bank Working Men's Club, or have a day ticket, which is available from Animal Feed Store, Newgate, Mirfield; Steve’s Little Tackle Shop, Westgate, Cleckheaton; Calder Angling Supplies, Brighouse.

    Meetings on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 8.30pm.

History

  1. Founded in September 1967 by members of Old Bank WMC. The club has acquired two stretches of canal through Mirfield, a stretch of the river Calder behind John Cottons and a 1 acre pond in Thornhill (members only). The membership has remaind steady over the years with an average of 65 members.
