This year we are again delighted to welcome Paul Whittaker, OBE, with Musical Hands Signing Choir to join Huddersfield Men's Voices, (formerly Gledholt Male Voice Choir) and Marsh Ladies Choir, both having admirably performed for us at the last year’s concert.

Paul Whittaker, OBE - Born in Huddersfield in 1964, has been Deaf all his life. A pianist and organist, he has a music degree from Wadham College, Oxford and a PG Diploma from the RNCM. For 27 years Paul ran a charity helping Deaf people access music before starting a freelance career in 2015. In 2007 he was awarded an OBE for Services to Music.

Musical Hands Signing Choir was the first one Paul set up, 10 years ago, and was originally called Paul’s Signing Choir. They have both Deaf and hearing members; some have been signing for years, others have only started recently, and they all share a love of signing songs.?

Thom Meredith will again be our compere and soloist. In addition to his passion for conducting, Thom has established a reputation as a fine baritone soloist, an arranger of music for female, male and mixed voice choirs. He has taken solo bass/baritone roles in a wide variety of concerts, operas and oratorios including first performances of contemporary works.
