Pumpkin Picking at Cannon Hall Farm 2026

About the event

On the fringe of Kirklees the Farm is not far from Bretton Park and Clayton West.

Cannon Hall Farm’s incredible pumpkin patch is returning this October – and is full of instagrammable family moments.

Pumpkin picking dates between 10th and 31st October 2026.

The patch – which was voted the no 1 patch to visit in the UK in a study by Austen and Blake – sees almost 10,000 pumpkins available for visitors to pick and our expert carvers will shape out those toothy grins for you.

As well as amazing outdoor and indoor playgrounds and animal talks, our pumpkin patch is the perfect place for you to capture those insta-worthy pictures.

Pumpkins aren't included in your admission — add yours for £3 when you book, pick your favourites straight from the patch, then decorate them for free in our crafting zone. And there's no limit — pick as many as you like, it doesn't have to be one each!

Visitors are also encouraged to wear fancy dress – and spot prizes will be offered by farm staff to those who have made a special effort. Don’t forget our carvers will also be happy to help create your lantern by carving it for you. And for even more fun, the kids are given a spooky quiz sheet which they can trade for a treat from our friendly witch.
