Kirklees Markets organise and manage a wonderful array of specialist markets and events throughout Kirklees. Please see the list under Events.
Kirklees markets enliven our town centres, attract visitors to the area and give our regular shoppers an experience of something a little different.
If you would like to hire a market stall, please see the link under Further Information.
Also, under Further Information are details of the Alternative Market, designed to support young stallholders and performers aged 13 to 29.
Cleckheaton Market Hall open Monday to Saturday, plus monthly Food Market on the first Saturday every month
Dewsbury Market general markets Wednesday and Saturday, secondhand markets Friday and Sunday
Heckmondwike Market, general markets open Tuesday and Saturday
Holmfirth Market, open Thursday and Saturday, plus third Sunday each month’
Huddersfield Market, general markets Monday, Thursday and Saturday, secondhand markets Tuesday and Saturday
Queensgate Indoor Market, open Monday to Saturday, plus Sunday and late night Thursdays at Christmas and closed Bank Holiday Mondays.

Upmarket Sunday – second Sunday every month, 10am-3pm, Brook Street Market, Huddersfield
This monthly market is a real hidden gem, showcasing some of our best local and independent producers and artisans. You are guaranteed to find something different, unique and a little quirky. As well as locally produced food and drink, browse vintage and contemporary fashions, buy handmade jewellery, art and photography and more, Enjoy lunch, soak up the atmosphere and make shopping a pleasure not a chore.
Alternative Youth Market - second Sunday every month, 11am-4pm, New Street, Huddersfield
A small street market for stallholders aged 13-29, this vibrant market is designed to showcase our young entrepreneurs and performers.
Bank Holiday Monday Car Bootless Sale - 9am-3pm, Brook Street Market, Huddersfield.
Held four times each year, Easter Monday, May Bank Holiday, Spring Bank and August Bank Holiday Monday.
Stalls are £21 each, allocated on arrival at 7.30am.
To register for a Kirklees Market stall please bring the following forms of ID:
• Photographic ID e.g. passport or driving licence
• Proof of address e.g bank statement or utility bill less than 3 months old
• National Insurance number
Additionally, you must bring a copy of you public liability insurance or purchase our temporary daily insurance at £5.
Please note we can no-longer accept any cash payments on any of our Markets, payment is by card payment only (2% charge for credit cards).
